By using Dion you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
Who can use Dion
- You must be 18 or older.
- You must be a current UK university student, verified with a .ac.uk email.
- One account per person. No impersonating someone else.
What Dion is — and isn't
Dion is a free platform to discover and RSVP to student house parties. We do not charge for entry, host parties ourselves, or collect any payment between users. Optional "contribution" tags are informational only — Dion does not process money.
Hosting a party
- You are solely responsible for what happens at your party, including the safety of your guests, your neighbours, your property, and compliance with the law.
- You must have the right to host at the address you list (e.g. it's your home, or you have your landlord/housemates' permission).
- You may not sell alcohol or charge entry. Doing so may trigger the UK Licensing Act 2003 — Dion does not authorise this.
- You may not list events that are clearly commercial (club nights, ticketed shows, etc.).
Attending a party
- Respect the host's home and rules.
- Don't share the exact address with anyone who isn't an approved guest.
- Don't bring weapons, illegal drugs, or anyone the host hasn't approved.
Behaviour
No harassment, discrimination, threats, or sexual misconduct. We will suspend or permanently ban accounts that breach our community/safety policy. See the safety policy for full detail.
Suspension and removal
We may remove a listing, suspend an account, or permanently ban a user if they breach these terms or our community/safety policy, including for behaviour outside the app that involves another Dion user.
Liability
Dion is a discovery platform. We are not a party to any meeting between hosts and guests, we don't verify in-person behaviour, and we're not responsible for anything that happens at a party. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from a party listed on Dion.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Changes
If we change these terms, we'll tell you in the app the next time you sign in.
