Dion only works if people trust each other. These rules apply to everyone — hosts and guests.
Respect each other
- No harassment, bullying, or intimidation.
- No discrimination based on race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or anything else.
- Sexual contact requires clear, ongoing consent. "No" means no, and so does silence, hesitation, or someone being too drunk to consent.
- If you see someone being unsafe, intervene if you can or get the host involved.
Hosts — your responsibilities
- Set a realistic capacity. Don't over-approve.
- Be honest about the vibe, what's provided, and what to expect.
- Know your neighbours' tolerance — noise complaints are your problem.
- Have a plan if things get out of hand (a sober mate, a way to clear the house, emergency numbers).
- Keep ID in mind — your guests must be 18+. Dion does not verify ages beyond email signup.
Guests — your responsibilities
- Treat the host's home with respect. Damage is on you.
- Don't share the exact address with people who aren't approved.
- Don't bring uninvited friends.
- Look out for the people you came with. Don't leave anyone alone in a bad state.
What's never OK
- Sexual assault or sexual misconduct of any kind.
- Violence, threats, or weapons.
- Bringing or distributing illegal drugs.
- Underage drinking — Dion is 18+.
- Pressuring someone to drink, take drugs, or do anything physical.
- Filming or photographing someone without their consent — especially in private settings.
Reporting and blocking
If something goes wrong, you can report a party or person from the party page. Reports are reviewed by our team. You can also block someone — they won't be able to see your parties or you, theirs.
If you're in immediate danger, call 999. If you've experienced sexual assault, you can also contact your local Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) — find one at nhs.uk/sarc.
What happens after a report
Serious reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Outcomes can include: warning, temporary suspension, permanent ban, or — in safeguarding cases — escalation to your university or the police.
Child safety standards
Dion is strictly for adults: you must be 18 or over and hold a verified UK university email address to use it. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form.
- Content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits or endangers minors is prohibited and results in an immediate permanent ban.
- Any child sexual abuse material (CSAM) we become aware of is removed immediately and reported to the relevant authorities, including law enforcement and the Internet Watch Foundation.
- Every profile and party has in-app reporting; reports are reviewed within 24 hours by our safety team.
- We comply with applicable child safety laws, including UK law and Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
